Now that iTunes does something vaguely useful with album cover art, and [WidgetFoundry](http://www.widget-foundry.com) has come up with a Dashboard widget that makes it easy to steal album art from Amazon, I’ve been working through my collection of music ripped from CD to add album art. I’m just amazed at how much great stuff there is! Of course, these are almost all CDs I picked myself, so it’s no surprise that I like the stuff.

No, the new iTunes feature that automatically fetches cover art from the iTunes Store didn’t get very many of my covers. My collection is too eclectic, or iTunes’ coverage is too spotty, or some combination of the two.

4989 songs, 14.8 days worth, 20.17 gigabytes compressed. And that’s after mostly boycotting CD purchases for the last few years.
