April 8, I stayed at Peaks of Otter Lodge, one of only a handful of places to stay directly on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the only one open this early in the year. Like seemingly everywhere else, there were official trails to walk on. It took me a while to deduce that this trail actually led through the culvert and under the Parkway.
