Naturally the first step was to fly to Greenville-Spartanburg airport. Here I'm waiting at the curb for pickup. The bag on the left is my camera gear, just small enough to carry on to most planes and sturdy enough to gate-check when that's required. You can see the tripod head sticking up on the left side of the bag. On the right is the suitcase for everything else.

I made a special trip to the BMW dealer to make certain that these two bags would fit into the Z4's trunk. They do, but only if you put the camera bag on the right.
