On September 20-21, 2003, I attended a workshop on The Intimate Portrait presented by Stephen Perloff, editor of The Photo Review, as part of the PHOTOsynthesis 2003 weekend presented by the Texas Photographic Society. On the afternoon of the first day, the assignment was to shoot portraits of the other participants in the workshop.
