The Shoe Tree of No Return.

We stopped here to try and figure out whether Pat had enough gas to make it to the next civilization, or whether we needed to return to Vidal Junction for gas. We decided to go ahead to Desert Center, where Pat put 4.96 gallons of gas into his 5-gallon tank.
