Must Be Art > Personal Snapshots > Black Vent Studio Session

March 15, 2003. A studio set up in the Clairemont living room, shooting product photos of the new black powder-coated version of the Ultra Vent from eGlideGoodies. The camera is a Canon EOS 1Ds with the Canon EF 28-138mm IS lens. Lights are White Lightning studio flashes, inherited from my father's collection. Background is a 100% pure high-tech sheet of styrofoam covered with tracing paper, and the product support bracket is a pre-DHS roll of duct tape.

This picture was taken by Pat Witt using my Canon S110 compact digicam. The preflash from the S110 triggered the slave flash on the rear light, but the dominant light was from the 60-watt incandescent modeling lamp in the front light.
