Second day, still in San Diego. Lunch at El Torito with Julie's friend Tom, then the zoo.
The following is not a picture of Tom.
It is, however, a legit action shot. This guy was all over his climbing gear. We were pretty lucky in seeing a lot of the animals active.
We spent a lot of time looking at the zoo maps. It's not very systematically arranged.
We did a lot of this, too.

Here we've pooped out on walking and are waiting for the bus tour to start.
A highlight of the bus tour was the polar bear "plunge". They have this new green ball that they were having fun with.
One polar bear is shaking himself off while the other takes a turn with the ball.
