First day, in San Diego. Paul wanted to get a picture of Ellen and Julie arriving at the airport terminal, but he got to the gate about 10 seconds before they came out of the Jetway (unexpectedly full parking lot). So we ended up coming home, changing clothes, going out to eat (Ruth's Chris steakhouse on the harbor waterfront, yum), and coming home before getting the camera out again.
Here we are after dinner. With any luck, this is as dressed-up as we'll need to get on this trip. The background is the home theatre screen in Paul's living room.
Here are Julie (wearing Paul's motorcycle jacket and a makeshift beret (also motorcycle gear)) and Ellen, modeling some of the furniture from Orange.
From there the silliness with the motorcycle gear went downhill ...
